CONTEMPORARY: French Heritage Painted Console

For comparison purposes, we just had to share this contemporary-styled console with the ivory & gold butterflies set nicely against the black finish.  From French Heritage: which culture do you think has the best design style?

CONTEMPORARY: Pink Accents & Upholstery from Lorts

We love this rich shade of pink in accents & upholstery from Lorts.  It is extra special against the color & texture of distressed wood.  Zebra print makes it wildly relevant!  Do your clients like the distressed look, or are they over it?

CONTEMPORARY: Richard Mishaan for Bolier & Co.

Here is Richard Mishaan's new collection for Bolier & Co.  Mishaan's touch, stylistically, is expansive.  Born in Colombia, Mishaan began his career as an apprentice with Philip Johnson after NYU & Columbia University School of Architecture.  More coming from this fashion, architecture & design expert!

CONTEMPORARY: Regal Chair from Gabby Home

This statement piece comes from Gabby.  Looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright design, yes?  We like the strong, committed design.  How would you merchandise it?  Of what does the design remind you?

CONTEMPORARY: Eastern meets Floral with Kindel

We like the Eastern influences of this canopy & chair from Kindel.  The bright floral linens create a striking contrast.  Looks like a home in the Hamptons.  What's your favorite summer vacation spot?

CONTEMPORARY: Settees from Vanguard Furniture

Traditional meaning of "couch" closely resembles daybed, chaise lounge or bed. In UK, the term is "sofa" or "settee" while "couch" means, for example - in a therapeutic setting - psychiatrist's couch. A couch is used while lying down, but sofa or settee is for sitting upright. "Couch" derives from Old French couche "bed" & coucher "put to bed, lay down."
